Description
This exceptional Colt Second Generation Single Action Army revolver in .45 Long Colt is a historically significant collector's piece, originally ordered in 1956 by famed Colt authority Arnold Marcus Chernoff. Featuring a 7.5-inch barrel and a classic blue/casehardened finish, the revolver has been customized with pearl grips and is inscribed with Chernoff’s name and “No. 1” on the backstrap.
Retaining over 90% of its original blue finish and 97% vivid case colors on the frame, this revolver shows honest wear from careful handling. The included leather rig—complete with large conchos—and a period photo of Chernoff wearing it, add undeniable charm and historical value. Also included: a factory box (serialized to another gun), extra .45 LC barrel, and Colt SAA brochure.
Mechanically excellent and aesthetically striking, this revolver is a standout addition to any Colt or Western firearms collection.
